Brief CV:

Charlotte Colman is  a Master of Criminology (2007) and Doctor in Criminology (2014).

Since 2007, she has been working as a scientific researcher seconded to the research group “Institute for International Research on Criminal Policy” (IRCP) and as a teaching assistant responsible for the courses Drug Policy and Criminal Policy at Ghent University. In 2015 she started  her Postdoctoral research on recovery, desistance and drug courts at Ghent University.

She has been actively involved in several international, EU and national research projects on alternatives to incarceration, recovery and desistance, the monitoring of drug-related crime and drug supply.

She has published a broad variety of peer-reviewed publications such as book(s), (chapters) and articles on the abovementioned drug-related topics.

Her scientific activities have always focused on combining a clear-cut synthesis of fundamental and empirical research on the one hand, and developing well-defined policy recommendation on the other hand.
